Noise reduction to shout about
Frankfurt leads the industry in helping to minimise aircraft noise

Problem aircraft are the B 747-200 and B 727 freighters. The loudest offender at FRA has been the U.S. Air Force`s Galaxy transport plane. FRA subsidised the transfer of these military aircraft to another air base im Germany - Ramstein near Kaiserslautern - at a cost of DM 126m.
